Backyard Brawl trophy stays in Tyrone after 34-0 victory
When Tyrone quarterback Ashton Walk works himself into a groove, it’s not unusual to see him complete eight or nine passes in a row.
For anyone who’s watched him progress over the last three seasons, it’s a familiar sight. Once he settles into the zone, Walk hangs in the pocket a little longer and extends plays with rollouts a little further, all the while keeping his eyes directed downfield.
The junior veteran had not visited that special place much through four games this season, but he was there last night against Bellwood-Antis in the annual Backyard Brawl.
With a full assortment of receivers to throw to and a line providing time for plays to develop, Walk was at the top of his game, completing 14 of 24 passes for 250 yards and 3 touchdowns as the Golden Eagles blew past B-A 34-0 at Gray-Veterans Memorial Field.
