Nothing has been more challenging for the Tyrone football team this season than building momentum.
Whether it’s from game to game or down to down, the Eagles have found it difficult to build on what successes they’ve had, but that wasn’t the case a week ago in a 34-0 win over Bellwood-Antis.
After a slow start, Tyrone scored 20 points in the second quarter and never looked back. Everything went the way of the Eagles, one good play led to another, and by the end Tyrone had put together four of its best quarters.
But in the Laurel Highlands Athletic Conference, victory celebrations and pats on the back are short-lived. Perennial power Bishop Guilfoyle is up next for Tyrone on Friday at Mansion Park, and the challenge becomes maintaining momentum from one big game to another.
