Eagles blitz Huntingdon early in 39-7 victory

You could accuse Tyrone coach John Franco of many things, but failing to see the forest for the trees isn’t one of them.

Franco is very much a big-picture guy, and when he finds something that works, he’s going to stick with it until someone stops it.

That philosophy worked very much in the favor of running back Brady Ronan last night against Huntingdon at Gray-Veterans Memorial Field. After Ronan got off to a hot start with two touchdowns on his first three carries, Franco put the saddle on him and rode him most of the game.

The senior rusher scored 5 touchdowns in the first half, carried 23 times for a career-best 194 yards, and was the key offensive factor in Tyrone’s 39-7 Laurel Highlands East Section 1 victory over the ‘Cats.
