Tyrone’s third quarter last night against Central Cambria in Ebensburg was a glimpse at what the Eagles’ offense is capable of when firing on all cylinders.
In that quarter Tyrone got the ball three times and scored on each possession, driving with plays both big and small. By the time the Eagles got their third score on a 7-yard pass from Ashton Walk to Austin Lucas, it was 28-6, and a highly contested, highly competitive game that was a dog fight at halftime became a blowout.
Tyrone went on to win 35-12, extending its winning streak to four games and earning its second Laurel Highlands Conference intersectional victory of the season.
The Golden Eagles are now 5-3 after beginning the season with just a single win in their first four games, and they’re peaking with the playoffs just three weeks away.
