For the second year in a row, Tyrone failed to protect a second-half lead against Clearfield in the season-opener, falling to the Bisons 46-20 at Gray-Veterans Memorial Field last Friday.
Despite the lopsided score, there was a time when the game was up for grabs, but the Golden Eagles were never able to get a game-breaking play after going up 20-13 at the start of the third quarter.
