It turns out Tyrone coach John Franco may not have been exaggerating when talking in the preseason about the depth and talent of the Golden Eagles skill players in 2024.
Before a regular season snap had been taken, the longtime Golden Eagles coach said he thought Tyrone’s playmakers could match up with anyone around.
That seemed plausible after Week 1 against Clearfield, but following the Eagles’ 42-12 win over Greater Johnstown at Trojan Stadium on Friday, it’s looking more and more like the old coach wasn’t bluffing.
