There’s a philosophy in the game of basketball that, when locked in a tight game and faced with the choice of going for two or three with one chance at the buzzer, you go for the tie at home and the win on the road.

Bald Eagle Area’s football team plays with the tempo of a basketball game on offense, so it’s no surprise that, after his team fell behind in overtime last night against Tyrone, BEA coach Jesse Nagle was thinking two steps ahead and planning to go for the win.

“We were going to go for two and win the game. That was the mindset,” Nagle said later.
