Central Cambria comes into its matchup Friday against Tyrone winless in seven games.
The Red Devils have surrendered at least 30 points five times this season, and in Week 4 they dropped a game to Greater Johnstown, a team that had not won since 2019.
Last week, in a 42-6 loss to Forest Hills, they lost their starting quarterback.
There’s a lot stacked against Central Cambria, including the boost Tyrone will get playing in front of a home crowd at Gray-Veterans Memorial Field on Senior Night.
And yet the Devils have everything they need to give the Golden Eagles all they can handle.
That’s because if there’s one thing Central Cambria does well, it’s run the football. And through seven games, stopping the run has been the biggest bugaboo for the Tyrone defense.
