Last Time Out: TYRONE – lost to Bellwood-Antis 26-7 in the Backyard Brawl at Gray-Veterans Memorial Field. The Golden Eagles turned the ball over four times, with three of them leading directly to B-A touchdowns, one of which was a pick-6 in the first quarter that set them behind 14-0. Tyrone also struggled limiting the Blue Devils’ rushing attack, surrendering 253 yards on the ground. Alex McCartney had 150 of them to go along with three touchdowns. The Eagles’ lone score came on a 68-yard pass from Eli Woomer to Brayden Parsons in the third quarter. BISHOP GUILFOYLE – defeated Central 49-7 at Roaring Spring Athletic Field, generating 427 yards of total offense and building a 42-0 lead after three quarters. Justin Wheeler completed 12 of 17 passes for 165 yards and a touchdowns while rushing for 97 yards and another score. Jake Kissel added 51 yards and two rushing touchdowns for the Marauders, who ran for 262 yards.
Series: Bishop Guilfoyle was a regular opponent on the Golden Eagles schedule throughout the 1960s and 70s, but the series halted in 1980 and wasn’t renewed for another 23 years. Starting in 2003, the teams played four times as members of the Mountain Athletic Conference, with Tyrone winning all four, but the series once again ended when BG joined the Laurel Highlands. They would not meet again until 2023, Tyrone’s first season as a Laurel Highlands member, a game the Eagles won 28-27.

Last Meeting: Tyrone fell behind early but quickly turned its game against the Marauders into a shootout, but BG had plenty of ammo in the chamber to pull away with a 50-37 victory at Gray-Veterans Memorial Field on Friday, September 27, 2024.
Hamilton Gates produced 158 yards and scored four times for the Maruaders, including their first two touchdowns in the first quarter to put BG ahead 14-0. His third touchdown, with 29 seconds left in the second quarter, made it 21-7 at halftime.
In the second half, the Eagles battled back and got the deficit to a single touchdown following a scoring reception by ELi Woomer followed by a 2-point conversion from Trent Adams that made it 36-29 in the fourth quarter. From there, Taurean Consiglio took over, racing for a 48-yard touchdown before powering for clock killing first downs on BG’s last possession.
Ashton Walk passed for 303 yards and two touchdowns, but was also picked off twice. Chase Kissel threw for 294 yards to front the Marauders’ attack, while Consiglio ran for 158 yards.
