The Tyrone Golden Eagles upended Hollidaysburg 41-28 Friday, using the momentum from a 35-point first half to ride out a furious comeback by the Golden Tigers.
The win upped Tyrone’s record to 7-2 and maybe put the lid of a series that dates back to 1921. The Golden Eagles will join the Laurel Highlands Conference next season, so a return date against the Tigers won’t happen anytime soon, if at all.
